Reluctantly selling Grandma. My wife has owned this car for 16 years. She was purchased in California from the original owner. She's only been in upstate NY for the last 7 years.
Yes she has her original 12 cylinder Jaguar engine with only 82700 miles on it. The engine was rebuilt 6 years ago at approx 69000 miles so it has only 13700 miles on the new rebuilt engine.
She has her problems though. Needs a new vinyl roof, and front seat covers. The chrome is just starting to discolor in a couple of places. Just starting to get a few rust spots see photos. There are some wiring problems that need to be addressed as well. Only one window operates. The sun roof works well. The air conditioner does not work. The interior wood panel is cracked and needs attention. Mechanically this car runs well, and has been well maintained. The front rack will need to be replaced at some point as it is slowly leaks power steering fluid. We have been driving this car and she has operated beautifully until yeaterday when the relay to the fuel pump shorted out. As we bought a new Chrysler today I don't think we'll be driving this beauty anymore. We love this car, we just can't afford to restore and maintain her properly. She has been loved and driven continously for the last 16 years. She has never failed to turn over or start(until yesterday). There are no skilled Jaguar mechanics up here in upstate NY and the Manhattan Mechanics are out of our price range. Please help her!!
This is a beautiful extremely rare car with great biscuit red leather interior. I believe only about 500 were made in 1976. Modest reserve. Please feel free to email any questions. The car is available for inspection with a few hours notice. VIN #ug2g51028bw. Lots of pix, they may take a moment to load. Buyer to pay all applicable shipping and deelivery charges.
