This website, provides information on the pregnancy, the
premature birth, the stay in Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU), and the eventual
release to home, of Sullivan James Riley Nash.
He was born on November 8, 1998, at 27 weeks 3 days, weighing
600 grams (1lb 5 oz), after a difficult pregnancy, and the loss of his
twin.
During the pregnancy, his mother had to take Fragmin (low
molecular weight Heparin) due to placental insufficiency problems.
After Sullivan's twin died in-utero, Sullivan was delivered
by C-section, and was considered small for gestational age.
